Macramé is a very old technique. It involves tying sturdy yarn or cord into various types of knots to create different patterns and designs. Our technique videos demonstrate how to make some of these knots. Macramé requires almost no tools other than thread or cord. However, we recommend using a clipboard with a clamp to secure the yarn or cord strands while working.

Finally, you can unravel the loose thread ends, comb them with a coarse comb, and possibly trim them to create pretty fringes.
