The proven Brita filtration technology de-carbonizes the water in four steps:
1. Pre-filtration: A pre-filter captures coarse particles.
2. Carbonate hardness reduction: The filter medium decreases carbonate hardness and thereby reduces limescale formation.
3. Activated carbon filtration: All water – including dilution water – passes through an activated carbon filter to reduce substances that disrupt taste and aroma.
4. Fine filtration: Finally, a fleece filter retains any remaining fine particles.
