It also reliably reduces metals such as lead and copper that may occur due to household plumbing. The tap water flows through the filter cartridge by gravity, where a mixture of ion exchange resin and activated carbon is present. The result is soft, great-tasting water for pure enjoyment. At the same time, you protect your kitchen appliances like kettles and coffee machines from limescale buildup. A new PerfectFit system with a valve ensures that the BRITA MAXTRA+ filter cartridge fits perfectly in the funnel, guaranteeing that all the water is reliably filtered and nothing bypasses the filter. The Marella XL features a "BRITA Memo" that indicates when the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. One filter cartridge lasts for 4 weeks or 100 liters.
