Preparation:
1. Place the Caffettiera on a flat surface, hold the handle firmly, and pull the plunger up out of the carafe.
2. Add a heaping teaspoon or a Bodum ball of coarsely ground coffee for each cup/4 ounces of water.
3. Pour hot water into the carafe (about 92-96 °C), leaving at least 2.5 cm of space at the top, and stir with a plastic or wooden spoon.
4. Place the plunger unit on top of the pot and turn the lid to close the spout to retain heat.
5. Let it steep for four minutes, then slowly lower the plunger.
6. Turn the lid to open the spout and pour yourself a delicious cup of Joe.
