The large plate is characterized by its shape, straight edges, and color nuances. It is ideal for presenting or serving all your dishes, including sauces or pasta dishes.
After an initial firing of the clay at a low temperature, reactive glazes are applied to the stoneware, giving it a glossy appearance and color gradations. The ceramic pieces are then dipped in water after leaving the oven, creating a temperature shock that results in the desired crackle effect.
The inspiration for the MAGMA collection comes from the heart of the volcanic crater of Mount Fuji in Japan. In the COBALT variant, the vein network outlines the crater and reflects the thermal vacuum created by the cooking technique, similar to how magma forms after a volcano melts.
