In terms of production, after an initial low-temperature firing of the clay, reactive glazes in various colors are applied to the stoneware, resulting in a unique and deep texture that resembles the membrane of an eye. The appearance of color nuances from one piece to another is the result of a skilled blend of firing techniques and the way the glaze is applied.
