Hand wash recommended. The proofing baskets create optimal conditions for the dough after preparation and before baking, which are essential for good bread dough. Proofing baskets have been in use for over a hundred years, as they significantly improve the baking and flavor results. Please do not clean the proofing basket with water. Shake out the basket well, let it dry, and brush it thoroughly. The proofing basket is only suitable for the fermentation process, not for baking in the oven. Tips for use: The pre-shaped loaf is placed in the well-floured proofing basket and covered with a damp cloth to prevent the surface from drying out. After the dough has risen, it is turned out onto a baking sheet, and the proofing basket is removed. This basket is not suitable for use in the oven. The dough will now have taken on the surface texture of the proofing basket and will look like a traditional loaf of bread.
