The original Bialetti Moka Express stove-top espresso maker is perhaps the most famous and popular coffee brewing device in the world. With the stovetop maker, you can prepare a strong and rich Italian moka coffee, which also serves as a good base for milk coffees. The iconic design and functionality by Alfonso Bialetti have been around since 1933. Made in Italy.
Stovetop espresso makers come in different sizes, as the filter must always be fully loaded with coffee. Otherwise, the water passes through the filter too quickly, resulting in a weak brew. By using two or more differently sized stovetop makers, you can brew a flexible amount of coffee at once. The Moka Express stovetop maker is made of aluminum and can be used on electric and gas stoves. In our selection, you will also find stovetop makers made of stainless steel, which work on induction stoves.
The coffee used in the stovetop maker should be ground finer than for filter coffee but slightly coarser than actual espresso grind. We recommend freshly roasted coffee beans and a high-quality coffee grinder.
