Anchor Sticktwist is a 6-strand embroidery thread made from extra-long, top-quality Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual strands is twisted together twice. The practical design of the skein allows for easy access to the desired length of thread without needing to completely unravel the skein.

Thanks to its flexible strand separation, Anchor Sticktwist is the most commonly used embroidery thread with a wide range of applications in nearly all embroidery techniques. It is ideal for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, as well as for colorful embroidery, canvas work, and other counted embroideries.

This thread achieves its special sheen, intense light reflection, and unique softness due to the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process. You can find Anchor Sticktwist in an 8-meter skein format in beautiful solid colors (washable at 95 degrees) as well as vibrant multicolor options (washable at 60 degrees).
