This flow switch has been specifically designed to monitor the flow of liquid media. Typical applications include machine and apparatus construction, monitoring oil, cooling, and lubrication circuits, or as a water shortage protection in irrigation systems, heating systems, cold water units, and heat pumps. Installation should be vertical in a horizontal pipeline. A calming section of at least five times the pipe diameter is required before and after the paddle. The maximum flow can be significantly higher than the maximum set value of the switch. Not tested for drinking water.
