To achieve the look of the elegant RAW stoneware, several mechanisms are employed. The glaze of the stoneware does not consist of a uniform, solid color but varies in color and structure due to the chemical process in the kiln. The glaze develops differently from piece to piece, resulting in variations in saturation, crystallization, and layering. This technique is highly valued by many ceramic artists. The numerous variations in color and texture make each piece unique and give the tableware its handcrafted appearance.
