The ABB Stotz S&J Valve Actuator Controller VC/S4.2.1 is designed for controlling heating and cooling applications in a room, such as radiators, underfloor heating, or a cooling ceiling. The device features 4 channels, each of which can be used for the independent control of a heating or cooling application. Each channel has an electronic valve output for controlling a thermo-electric actuator, as well as 3 inputs for capturing and monitoring the room's state (usable for window contacts, dew point sensors, level sensors, or temperature sensors). Additionally, it is possible to connect an analog room control device (SAR/A) to the device's inputs. To regulate room temperature, the device includes an integrated room temperature controller that can be used directly to control the device's outputs. The VC/S 4.2.11 features an easy-to-use local control interface. For advanced diagnostic functions and improved commissioning, the ABB i-bus Tool can be utilized.
