Product details

Over nearly three decades, the German version of the Russian Piano School has developed into a standard work for piano instruction. The work, edited by Julia Suslin, is published in two volumes and is supplemented by a performance volume. The Russian Piano School is available optionally with or without audio CDs, which feature recordings of the pieces included. With the release of the second volume, Russian Piano Music, in March 2014, the collection is further expanded with works by composers from Russia and the former Soviet republics. As in the first volume, the aim is to provide a broad presentation of the rich and appealing pieces from Russian-Soviet piano literature. The collection, featuring pieces of medium difficulty, is aimed at players of all ages—not just children and teenagers, but also more experienced adults seeking piano literature beyond the standard repertoire. It is important to note that this is not a piano school per se, but rather a collection designed to enhance lessons with particularly beautiful pieces. Difficulty level: 3-4.
