While Amrein's artistic work takes on ever more vigorous forms, the stories Danski and Wajaroff tell are about disappearance: Of the disappearance of the Burg Waldeck festivals, of the classic John Coltrane quartet, of shoe production in Pirmasens - the end of an era becomes palpable. When the narrator writes to the author that things cannot go on like this, the conflicts begin.
