About the Work
At the European level, the harmonization of law has made significant progress. Examples include the Procedural Regulation and the Merger Control Regulation. The Procedural Regulation established new foundations for the cartel notification procedure. The requirement to notify has been removed, leaving the risk of subsequent prohibitions with the companies. The core of the commentary focuses on the relevant provisions of the TFEU, the Merger Control Regulation, and the various block exemption regulations.
This fifth edition particularly takes into account the numerous changes from the 11th amendment of the GWB. For the first time, the Digital Markets Act (DMA) 2021 is fully commented on in this edition. A focus is also placed on the detailed commentary of the Cartel Procedural Regulation (Regulation 1/2003).
