About the work
This work contains an overall presentation of German and European antitrust law. In the area of German antitrust law, it deals with the individual cartel prohibitions and their exceptions, vertical agreements and restrictive competition, restrictions of competition through mergers as well as the organisation and procedure in antitrust law. European antitrust law deals with the prohibition of cartels, the prohibition of abuse, proceedings and merger control.

The new edition takes up the developments in case law and literature and focusses in particular on the Act Implementing the Directive on Association Actions and the Act Amending the Act against Restraints of Competition and Other Laws (11th Amendment to the ARC). The eleventh amendment to the ARC is one of the biggest reforms of competition law in recent decades. It strengthens the FCO and also makes it easier to skim off advantages if companies have obtained them through competition offences.
