Like the first two adventures of the Kaminski Kids, "Transfer at Three in the Morning" and "Mega Clash!", the author has once again written the new story with the enthusiastic help of his own children. This time, it has resulted in an extremely thrilling children's and youth crime story set in a contemporary and pressing environment.

The story: In the Kaminski village, dogs are mysteriously being killed. An anonymous threatening letter arrives at their farm, announcing that the kids will soon lose their collie. At the same time, Manfred escapes from the youth home, driven by the desire to finally get back at the Kaminskis. When their collie actually disappears without a trace, the kids spring into action to get their beloved dog back. However, their search leads them down a very dangerous path.

Once again, the crime revolves around violence among teenagers—a topic that affects practically every child in some form. In "Hard on Hard," the Kaminski Kids look for ways to deal with the threat. The gripping, multi-layered story provides important prompts for discussion about this current issue.
