The kids receive a threatening letter. The sender "X" has set their sights on Zwockel. They ask the reader: "What would you do? How would we kids take Zwockel into the house overnight? Or search the area for the strange outsider? Or something completely different? Tell us what you would do - we're curious!" The book speaks to the reader, and the reader "talks" back to the book by drawing in it, entering play situations, and answering questions. The new short stories are aimed at children aged 8 and up who have not yet started reading or have lost their connection to it. What is needed are books that ignite the reading spark. Who better to do that than the Kaminski kids, who, according to the press, "turn even reluctant readers into bookworms"?.
