Product details
In the Vienna Kunsthistorisches Museum, on the bench opposite Tintoretto's "White-bearded Man", the music philosopher Reger takes a stand every second morning - except on Saturdays when admission is free. One day the routine is interrupted: Reger asks his friend Atzbacher to meet him at the museum on Saturday of all days. But before the reason for this unusual behaviour is revealed, Reger indulges in wonderfully sweeping tirades against art in general, the painters in particular, damned founders as well as Heidegger, insults Vienna and the Viennese - and yet knows that the only salvation is to be found in the human counterpart, in the "man of life" in his case.
