Question about SureFlap Microchip

When the batteries are empty, the flap remains closed in automatic mode as it can no longer control the chip detection and locking function without power. You can manually set it to open mode by pressing the memory button, removing the batteries and closing the cover - it will then function as a normal cat flap.
