In my case, the flap only works with a chip. The same with the replacement.

Our solution: send it back and switch to the SureFlap. With the hub, you can then also set "exit times" and ensure that the cat doesn't roam around at night and get hit. Unfortunately, this happened to us with two cats. Now we no longer have this problem.
