Question about SureFlap Connect

The connection between the hub and the pet flap is made via the internet. The hub is connected to your router and thus enables the connection to the Sure Petcare app on your smartphone. The distance between the hub and the flap is not directly limited, as communication takes place via the internet as long as the flap and the hub both have a stable internet connection. However, the physical distance between the hub and router is limited by the range of your network.

Does the flap also need an Internet cable connection, or is the connection made via WLAN?
