The "Clicker Training" is a gentle and fast dressage technique. The Clicker is a small tool that produces a special signal: click-clack! At the beginning the animal is shown that the signal announces the arrival of a delicacy. When the animal has understood (typically already after 3 repetitions), the signal is a very effective means to simplify the association of the animal between its behavior and the reward. The special thing about this training is that the "clicker training" uses the reward and not the punishment.
Reward for positive behaviour
The reward of the positive behavior motivates to continue happily like this. On the other hand, with the punishment methods, the dog does not understand what he has to do differently in order not to be punished. The positive impulse is missing. So the punishment methods discourage the dog and it disgusts itself before the work.
