Product details
Species-appropriate rodent food consists of fresh and dry food as well as hay and straw. The intestines of small animals are very sensitive and require a lot of soluble fiber. In addition to eating vegetables, these adorable creatures love dry rodent food, such as hay and pellets. Please remember to ensure your pet has adequate hydration. Rodents need regular dental wear, which is provided by dry rodent food and chew sticks. A good commercial food should contain few puffed and brightly colored pressed ingredients. Instead, a high proportion of various grains, dried vegetables, herbs, and minimal oil seeds, nuts, and seeds is advisable. This is also known at Copacabana, which is why the rat food only contains corn croquettes that are important for keeping the animals engaged. Otherwise, the complete food consists solely of natural ingredients and is made without added sugar. Tip: Don’t just place the dry food in the feeding bowl, but also hide it in the enclosure so the rats have to search for it. Small portions can be hidden in egg cartons or wrapped in tissues and hung on the bars.
