Is it necessary to use an air pump for this product, or can it simply be inflated by mouth?
You need a pump or compressor. By mouth is impossible.
Absolutely with air pump!
Inflating with the mouth is theoretically possible, but practically hardly... The valve is lowered (you can hardly hold your mouth on it) and the volume is quite large...
