Is a power supply from a hole in the wall mandatory for installation or can a cable also be fed from the side?

Must be connected like a normal ceiling light. A lateral feed of the cables is not provided.

Hello, yes, a lateral power supply is not provided. But I have looked at it again, of course you could drill a hole in the side of the base yourself, that would work.
