Yes, that's correct, that's exactly the joke about the whole frame, you can easily widen it and put another mattress on it. As soon as you're single again, you take care of the mattress and make the frame narrow again :D
Of course, you just have to make sure that you have enough of these longitudinal braces. I bought the widest version and can now cover everything from there down to 140 cm width as I like, and put the remaining struts in the cellar.
