Jacob van Ruisdael was a renowned painter from the Netherlands who lived until the end of the 17th century. In addition to his profession as a doctor, he enjoyed traveling through Holland, capturing dozens of beautiful motifs on his canvas. His works are now displayed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which has housed an extensive collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age, as well as various Asian art objects and artifacts since its reopening in 2013.
