Product details

Albrecht Dürer was born in Nuremberg in 1471 and is one of the most important German Renaissance artists. His interest in education and his outstanding talent in drawing helped Dürer to perfect and revolutionize the field of woodcut and copperplate engraving and to intensively study the fundamentals of art.

A particular example of his ability to reproduce things in great detail can be seen in this art painting. The accuracy with which grasses, herbs and meadow flowers are depicted in this watercolor always amazes the viewer.

The original hangs in the Albertina in Vienna and was painted in 1503. It was painted with watercolor on paper.
