Lyocell is produced 100% from the raw material wood. The production is particularly environmentally friendly, as non-toxic solvents are used to produce the fibres, and the closed material cycle also has a significantly lower impact on the environment.

What are the advantages and properties of Lyocell?
Lyocell is more breathable than cotton and can absorb up to 50% more water. In addition, Lyocell can release the absorbed moisture directly back into the environment - in contrast to cotton, which only dries again through good ventilation.
This is particularly advantageous for bedding, as a person sweats an average of one to two glasses of water per night. Lyocell ensures a dry sleeping climate.

Covers with lyocell cool when it is warm and warm when it is cold. Due to a constant and pleasant temperature, sleep is calmer and more restful.

Why is Lyocell ideal for allergy sufferers?
Lyocell fabric offers the greatest advantage for allergy sufferers. If moisture remains in the fabric, mould can form, which is a breeding ground for dust mites. This breaks down the dander and makes it more digestible for the mites. Lyocell interrupts this chain and prevents new dust mites from settling.

Tests show that Lyocell almost completely eliminates existing mite populations within six weeks, while the number of mites increases 17-fold in the same period with conventional mattresses.

This is why dermatologists recommend so-called encasings for mattresses for allergy sufferers, but thanks to Lyocell, these are no longer necessary.
