Time for a conclusion. I can't say that I was positively surprised by the SwitchBot Curtain 3 (Rod) when I tested it. This is by no means because I am dissatisfied with the product. On the contrary, I was already impressed by the two predecessors. With the third generation, we now have a consistent further development that simply makes everything that little bit better...

In the SwichBot Curtain 3 system (www.swich-bot.com, from around 100 euros), the motors for operating the curtain are hooked into the guide rail in the same way as the curtain itself. They are then operated by rubber rollers, which move the motor elements along the rail using a friction wheel drive - and open and close the curtain in this way...
