yes no fabric, super lamp very satisfied, you can dim and adjust it as you need it and it just gives light to the whole desk.

The inner distance of the U-shape on my lamp is 80 mm. The round clamp with the thread is relatively narrow and takes up about 3 - 5 mm (I did not dismantle the lamp to measure precisely). 73 mm should therefore just about work.
Yes works. The lamp always restores the last state. If it was on, then it is de-energised and re-energised, then it comes back on.
