Yes, you can use a different slatted frame, but there are important restrictions to bear in mind.
The original slatted base can be fitted in two different positions. If you fit it at the bottom, the mattress may be a maximum of 14.9 cm high so that it is flush with the bed frame. In the upper position, the maximum mattress height is 5.3 cm.
If you want to use a different slatted frame, it should be exactly 140 x 200 cm so that it fits through the opening. However, we recommend that you enquire directly with the manufacturer Karup Design to ensure that an alternative slatted frame is compatible with the insertion depths of the bed frame and allows the desired mattress height.
