Pointhouse Drop extending table

Drop Extendable Table. This dining table presents itself as invitingly unpretentious: Alberto Werner Arter and Fabrizio Citton have designed a dining table for the Italian manufacturer Pointhouse that is so understated and remarkably slender in form that it can almost be overlooked in a room. The delicate substructure made of stable, matte-painted aluminum impresses with a surrounding table frame and slightly protruding legs in an oval profile. The tabletop, made of durable laminate in a trendy marble look, barely extends beyond the frame. Arter & Citton have constructed the Drop table for easy extension: With the help of a hidden additional leaf, the dining table can be extended by eighty centimeters, accommodating two extra comfortable seats, increasing the capacity from six to eight people (or more closely arranged for ten seats).
