Alva Felt Ball Rug. A rug made from 100% virgin wool – you could hardly wish for anything cozier and more homely for your beloved home! The Berlin-based company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, each rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are shorn for wool production, and the support of a manufacturing workshop in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and processed into balls using a patented method. These felt balls then come together – essentially as a wool-felt mosaic – to create a complete wool rug with its own characteristic color pattern: the Alva Felt Ball Rug in mysterious midnight blue. For the largest sizes, myfelt has up to 50,000 felt balls individually sewn by hand, always with strict adherence to fair trade and European health and safety regulations: Each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" seal as a corresponding certification.
