Hans Hilfiker (1901-1993), a renowned Swiss engineer and designer, created a copyright-protected classic in the 1940s while working for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB): the station clock. In 1986, Mondaine developed the registered wall clock version and won several important design awards with it.
