The wood finish is spruce with an old wood look, resembling wood that has been stored for 100 years. As a natural product, the wood may have intentional cracks and knots, and features a rustic structured surface. The modern skid base has a matte black lacquer finish, with black feet and a black cover.

This unique design showcases an unusual surface treatment that gives the wood a vintage appearance. The wood is limed, sanded black, and lacquered with clear varnish.

Abrasion resistance:

• Imitation leather: >100,000 abrasion cycles
• Textured fabric: 30,000 abrasion cycles

Matching support slats for roll-up grids can be ordered separately. The thermo spruce is treated in a specially developed process that steams the wood with high heat and dries it simultaneously, completely without chemical additives, making it 100% organic and significantly harder.

The wood is sourced from surrounding sawmills in Bavaria and comes from sustainable cultivation. We use solvent-free water-based varnish, ensuring each bed is unique.
