Afteroom furniture series. A tribute to the timeless Bauhaus design of the 1920s and 1930s: Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, a Taiwanese design team now based in Stockholm, are inspired by the modernist movement to create minimalist, streamlined furniture for the Danish brand Menu. The series includes chairs with three or four legs, in various seat heights ranging from bar stools to lounge chairs, tables from side tables to dining tables, as well as a wall coat rack that has a playful quality. What works for the four-legged chair also applies to the elevated seat designed for kitchen or bar counters: Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei celebrate the functionalism of Bauhaus design with a simple frame, a stabilizing foot ring, a springy backrest, and a round seat. Speaking of the seat – Menu offers the stool in two heights with either a wooden or upholstered seat, available in leather or wool upholstery.
