The original, timeless Moroccan Berber rug made from natural sheep wool. Hand-knotted with great skill and craftsmanship according to ancient tradition. The simple Berber rugs from the Beni Ourain region in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains have been appreciated in architecture and design circles for decades. Renowned figures such as Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Eames couple have dedicated their work to the charmingly simple Beni Ourain rugs, helping them find their way from Morocco into numerous Western living rooms since the 1950s.
The shade of natural sheep wool is ideally suited for interior design in combination with various types of flooring. Both light and dark parquet and wooden floors, as well as concrete and other flooring types, harmonize beautifully with natural wool.
Due to its handcrafted production, this rug is a unique piece.
