Le Klint Pliverre

With the latest lamp series PLIVERRE, specifically Opal glass, Le Klint has introduced a new material. The name of the collection comes from the French term "verre plié," which means folded glass. Designer Christian Troels aimed to challenge tradition and developed PLIVERRE with the traditional folds as inspiration. The quality and characteristics of the glass shade are the same as those of the folded shades made from plastic and paper; the glass still diffuses the light while allowing it to shine through. The mouth-blown glass features a silky white surface. In contrast to the delicate and soft expression of the opal glass, the PLIVERRE base is black, industrial, and strict, showcasing exposed functional details. The shades are cut at a 45-degree angle to emphasize the direction of the light and enhance the design's features. Christian Troels has added brass elements to soften the contrasting design. The brass element marks the point where the lamp is adjustable. The chandelier has a very modern expression, with draped cords that add a touch of wildness to the otherwise strict base and sharply cut shades.
