The name Ferruccio Laviani represents exquisite design at its finest. Laviani was born in 1960 in Cremona. He honed his design skills in Milan, where he studied architecture and design. He was trained by notable figures such as Marco Zanuso and Ettore Sottsass. Even during his studies, he worked for Michele De Lucchi, among others. The Italian designer opened his own design studio in 1991, with Kartell being one of his first clients for whom he designed an exhibition stand. In the following years, Laviani continued to work for the company, creating a variety of lighting designs.
