Componibili container furniture. One design stands out: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, part of the permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a bedside table next to the bed or as a stackable shelf in the bathroom and kitchen. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only conditionally stackable. The sliding doors, designed to fit the round shape, feature a carved-out handle for easy access: it’s hard to find a narrow chest of drawers that can stand up to this in terms of space-saving elegance. Kartell offers this design classic by Anna Castelli-Ferrieri in various heights, with two, three, or four closing compartments or elements.
