Componibili container furniture. A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a bedside table or as a stackable shelf in bathrooms and kitchens. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only partially stackable. The sliding doors, designed to match the round shape, feature a carved-out handle for easy access: it’s hard to find a narrow chest of drawers that is as space-saving and elegant. Kartell offers this design classic by Anna Castelli-Ferrieri in various heights, with two, three, or four closing compartments or elements. In addition to the round container system with four elements, Anna Castelli-Ferrieri also designed the much more versatile and stackable square Componibili containers for Kartell.
