For the fiftieth, no less a person than Fabio Novembre pays homage to the Kartell design, which is known worldwide: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designed this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she had no idea that it would develop into a design classic that would become part of the permanent exhibitions of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. And to ensure that this container system made of injection-moulded, impact-resistant plastic not only stands in museums, but is always at home, Fabio Novembre now provides the jubilant design classic with a smiling, winking or neutral face. Of course, the recesses can be used as handles for the two sliding doors adapted to the round design. The Componibili Smile can be happily combined with its comrades, although the rubber ring on the base means that the round container furniture can only be stacked to a limited extent.
