Coconut mats are also extremely attractive in the form of an entrance mat. Coloured entrance mats always fit in front of any elegant front door. Coconut fibres have long been a popular material for making useful and attractive entrance mats. Coconut fibres can easily be dyed in any colour imaginable and made into stylish door mats. The robust natural fibres have clean-running properties and the dense fibre bundles are able to bind a lot of dirt, preventing it from entering the house. In this way, the floors inside are protected and retain their as-new quality for longer. To prevent slipping, the robust mats are equipped with an anti-slip rubber layer - so they remain securely in place when walked on.

Natural fibre entrance mats are easy to care for and clean. Small doormats can be quickly shaken out or tapped. The larger formats are cleaned with a hoover to remove all dirt. This removes deep-rooted sand and other dirt from the dense pile and the mats are fully functional again.

Note: Although door mats made of coconut fibres can be left outdoors all year round, they do not tolerate constant moisture (prolonged rain or permanent snow) or prolonged exposure to intense sunlight or heat. This damages the natural fibres, which is why the dirt mats should only be placed in protected, covered outdoor areas. During cleaning and use, the mats become slightly fibrous, but this is no cause for concern; it is normal and is due to the natural fibres.
