Product details

Gustav Ehrenreich launched the Hoptimist movement at the end of the 1960s with great conviction in the power of the smile. His aim was to create a figure that would serve as a lasting reminder to remain optimistic and positive. Although the 1960s were often referred to as "The Happy Sixties", they were also characterised by unrest. Ehrenreich's design therefore brought welcome joy to this troubled time. Bimble and Bumble, the first Hoptimists, epitomise a cheerful schoolgirl with bright eyes and an attentive boy with a distinctive stalk on his head. Today, these cheerful figures are an important part of Danish design history and ensure good humour worldwide. Christmas hats, beards, reindeer and snowmen - the festive season of joy, warmth and anticipation is made even more festive by the Christmas Hoptimists. These charming figures are sure to bring a smile during the festive season. Whether as a humorous Christmas decoration, a small gift for guests or an Advent surprise - they are always a wonderful idea. Because giving joy is the greatest gift of all.
