H2O Pendant Light

The Pedrera H2O pendant light, featuring a characteristic perforation, is part of Gubi's Pedrera lighting collection. The product's name is derived from La Pedrera, the nickname for Casa Pedrera in Barcelona. In 1955, the real estate company managing the residential building, Corsini, requested the conversion of the attic into new apartments. Corsini then designed the Pedrera lighting series and the matching three-legged glass table. The cylindrical chimney of Antonio Gaudi's architecture inspired the shape of the light.

Interiors made by Corsini were removed and most were discarded. During the renovation, architect and gallerist Joaquim Ruiz Millet discovered the PD2 floor lamp and saved it from the trash. This led to the creation of the H2O pendant light. Ruiz Millet began collaborating with Corsini and reinterpreting his designs, particularly to ensure greater recognition and use of his creations by the public.
