The Optimum Mat with carpet ribbing features a surrounding, beveled aluminum frame that keeps the stainless steel mat stable and enhances its high-quality appearance. Set into this frame is an inner dirt-trapping mat with alternating carpet ribbing and aluminum strips, which are responsible for the mat's primary function as a dirt trap. The carpet insert strips effectively hold moisture and fine dirt, while the aluminum strips provide stability to the entrance mat and also serve as additional dirt scrapers.
