Alessi La Stanza dello Scirocco

The Stanza dello Scirocco is a collection of objects designed by Mario Trimarchi for the kitchen or living room. It originates from the thoughtful and quiet atmosphere of a magical place: the room inside the large old country houses in Sicily, where one would go to escape the sultriness and wait for the dreaded Scirocco wind to finally subside. A room without windows, where one does nothing but think of the wind that swirls the things of the world outside. From this inspiration, a collection of asymmetrical objects with arrhythmic geometric shapes has emerged, consisting of small tiles of varying sizes that are connected in a seemingly fragile construction at only a few points.
