Product details
Founded in 1919 by Walter Gropius in Weimar as an art school, the Bauhaus quickly became a meeting point for the European avant-garde. With its openness to the world and international artistic diversity, the Bauhaus soon attracted world-famous artists: Lyonel Feininger, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, László Moholy-Nagy, and Oskar Schlemmer taught there. Together with the students, they created postcards and hand-painted invitations for the festivals and exhibitions at the Bauhaus between 1921 and 1923, which are gathered here for the first time in a single volume for this grand anniversary. An exclusive Bauhaus collection in a pocket format.
